Tip: What is Link from Stripe and How can it Help You?

31st-Aug-2023 Tips Advice Updates

Today, I want to make you aware of a new payment option that is now showing to your customers.

It's called Link, and is provided by Stripe.

What is Link?

In short, Link offers a quicker checkout process, saving your customers the need to add their card details every time they pay.

The system will automatically detect if your customers have a Link account set up (many will, as Stripe is energetically rolling it out across the world), and it will then offer them the chance to use it, to save them time.

It will look a bit like this on their booking form in Book That In:

What Does This Mean to You?

Stripe claims that using Link is significantly increasing conversions for businesses who use it, by making it easier for customers to complete their purchases.

Price, however, is also a big benefit to you.

When the Link option is used, Stripe will only charge you 1.2% plus 20p, compared to the normal fee of 1.5% plus 20p.

It might not sound like much, but this will add up quickly!

For this reason, we recommend that you encourage your customers to use it.

I hope you find this useful!

Is there anything YOU would like to us to introduce or change in Book That In? Let me know!

To your success,

Tim
