About Little Bees Music Classes
Music classes for 0-4s and their grown ups
At Little Bees you and your little one will enjoy a fabulous collection of songs and rhymes - old favourites together with a few more quirky and unusual numbers! Katie, Little Bees teacher and founder, has been running her classes in Hertford for over 20 years now and truly loves her job and all the families she teaches! Classes include instruments, dances, finger puppets, scarves, beanbags, silly songs and lullabies - there's something for everyone. Families come along to enjoy the music and to make friends ... and they find themselves taking the songs and rhymes home and using them throughout the week - often for many years!
Katie's MA studies into Early Childhood Music Education have led her to think more about parents' and carers' roles in young children's musical learning and this has influenced her approach to all of her classes.

What We Do

BEAM baby class (PAYG) 0
Babies are born musical and communication between them and their grown-ups is innately musical! Little Bees baby classes build on this and help parents and carers to support their developing babies musically! Katie has a particular interest in Early Childhood music education and the specially chosen songs and musical activities allow her to share some of her learning about the remarkable musical worlds of parents/carers and their young children. These classes are playful and fun and, alongside all the learning, provide a great opportunity for parents to build friendships with one another!
PAYG classes £11 each discounts available for block bookings.

BEAM Fridays 0
Katie tailors each activity to the needs and preferences of the individual children, whatever their age. Songs, rhymes, instruments, dances, puppets and floaty scarves! Music that can be enjoyed in the class and by the whole family back at home!
The grown ups (parents, carers, grandparents) regularly tell us that their children enjoy working alongside and learning from their older and younger friends. And for that reason, these classes are perfect for families with more than one child under 5!
Resource bags are loaned to those who sign up for a block of classes and include puppets, scarves and instruments (returnable cash deposit required).
Book for the whole term and get each class for just £9 - alternatively book half a term at a time (works out at £10 per class)
Trial classes (£11) can be booked a week in advance so if you are interested in a trial class please check back nearer the start of term

These classes are for under 5s and their grown-ups
Please bring along your resource bag if you have one - Katie will have spares for any new families who don't yet have a bag!
Please Note - if you sign up to this free class, Katie will send you a BEAM free booking link that you must complete in order to get a 'ticket'. BEAM is still officially closed to the public on this date and this class is part of their tester week! - you won't be able to get in the front door without your free ticket from them.

School holiday classes 0
These classes are for under 5s and their grown-ups .... for any families who are missing Little Bees and for any family who would like to try out Little Bees!
If you want to bring three children please just book as if for 2 (but do let Katie know!)
If you want to bring along older siblings please just contact Katie to discuss/arrange
No need to bring along your resource bag (unless you need to return it to Katie) - Katie will have all the resources you need for these classes.
